Zoom in real close to a butterfly and that thing is the stuff of nightmares. As ugly and scary as they really are (in my eyes), I still understand and can appreciate that they’re synonymous with the notion of ‘beauty’. But beauty is something we only see from afar — a superficial aspect that only goes skin deep. Beauty after all is something that is ‘only for your eyes.’ Something that can be appreciated from afar like the beauty of a butterfly.
