As most of my followers know, I went through chemo for the cancer that I had when I was 17-18. I spoke with my doctor yesterday because ever since finishing chemo my memory had been CRAP! To the point where I walk in a room and forget why I was there, I get out of the car and have no idea where my keys are, I have a conversation about what I did yesterday and I can’t recall any details, but this happens EVERY DAY! Lol They told me I showed lower levels of responsiveness in both the prefrontal cortex—which is involved in executive functions such as decision-making and social behavior—and the parahippocampal gyrus, which feeds into the hippocampus and is involved in memory formation and retrieval. But since I’m studying to be a PT I’m determined more than ever to prove them wrong! Just watch me :) -- source link
