On the man’s chest is a crocheted(?) the sword/cross of Santiago, one of the main icons of Santiago (St. James) and well known to those of us who have an interest in the pilgrimage to Santiago de Compostela. It is also the symbol of the oldest and most prestigious of military orders in Spain, Orden de Santiago. Aside from the icon, however, this is in the realm of the truly strange. -- source link
