lastlabyrinth:most beloved bear man i replayed gs1&2 fairly recently and i just have to say i really cannot believe how GOOD the characters and story are in the face of the absolutely god awful translations. like there are places where they literally didnt even translate from japanese and the text in the eng version comes out as a bunch of garbled symbols. if you needed any more reason to hate konami this is a good one imo, that they took murayama’s work, two of the most touching and deftly penned RPGs of all time, and let them be released with those translations. AND THEY WERE STILL GOOD AS HELL. -- source link
