So i didnt even place finalist on the XIV gear design contest and im trying not to be too salty about it but anyway bweh.I spent hours and hours designing each one, thumbnailing prototypes and different versions, changing color palettes, pulled all nighters, considered the form and functionality and how each piece could be incorporated/modeled into the game, how it could fit into the game stylistically… I worked so hard to give varied and unique pieces that would look good together or as individual pieces and STILL I’m beat out by some designs that would have taken me literally 5 minutes on MSpaint as a joke… -- source link
