Recently I had the opportunity to meet a new friend. Her name is Gai O'dwyer, and she is a neuro linguistic practitioner for sports persons. People never realize that what you say to yourself before a heat, competition or even a boxing match, can never go unnoticed. You have to think positively, think of how you want everything to happen, think about confidence and certainty. Having the opportunity to work with Gai was probably the most amazing thing that has happened to me. Being a rookie on tour isn’t easy, and meeting Gai and having the opportunity to work with her was the most valuable experience that I could’ve ever received before my first two events.
