Dressing professionally with an enhanced bulge has required me to spend more money on new pants (and more still to come) than I’d care to admit. I also found out I hate compression shorts, so if I need to sacrifice some fashion for that comfort I will. I know a lot of you would tell me to embrace my bulge and wear it proudly, and I do in my personal life, but in a professional environment, people’s impressions (even unstated) matter. On the left, a “tailored” cut in tan, and on the right, a medium cut in navy. Main takeaways are dark colors and fuller (aka “traditional”) cut pants are the best. As you can see, tan and light color pants are not subtle. I will try out pleats as well, although I have thus far avoided them because they aren’t very fashionable in my opinion. -- source link
