FATE MADE ME DO IT? I’m a big believer that a human being can change, and can achieve things which seem impossible. However, the fact that the family, genetics, environment, education, culture, religion, etc. play a great role in developing one’s personality can’t be neglected. Let me give you an example of needing to have visas to be able to travel to other countries. If you’re born in X, Y, Z country the process of making visas would be more difficult, time, and money consuming. Just because your country happens to be X, Y, Z. So what to say about other factors which have already been pre-determined before I am born. So now I would just sit still because too many things in my life happen to be pre-determined? Human being has one quality which is called effort. Let me share with you ancient Indian text, Yoga Vasishtha, that I found while studying yoga: “In this world whatever is gained is gained by self effort; where failure is encountered it is seen that there has been slackness of effort. This is obvious; but what is called fate is fictitious and is not seen. There is no power greater than right action in the present. Hence, one should take recourse to self-effort, grinding one’s teeth, and one should overcome evil by good and fate by present effort.” And my favorite part: “One who says “Fate is directing me to do this” is brainless and the goddess of fortune abandons him.” photo by @lidophotography #fate #destiny #life #effort #onlinefitnesscoach (at Saudi Arabia) https://www.instagram.com/p/CU1xdEAAnoN/?utm_medium=tumblr -- source link
