I knew then I had to do something to symbolize Guillermo and Nandor’s… complex relationship.I’ve been working on this on and off since February! I included some selections from the work-in-progress thread I kept on my art twitter, zeeteeart. Both boys are wearing some lovely marbled paper I bought, I was so pleased with how well that teal one could be fussy-cut into a striped Guillermo sweater! I was also amused to be able to use crepe creepy paper in Nandor’s beard and in the streamers, and this was my first time using wire elements in a papercraft! The stakes are cut from a woodstain sample booklet. The gold, silver, green, and light-purple papers are actually glittery, but that never shows up well in a scan… :’D5″x7″. Paper, wire, and cloth. [image description: an illustration made of cut-out pieces of paper in various colors and textures, of guillermo and nandor from “what we do in the shadows”. guillermo is standing behind nandor with his arms locked around nandor’s head. he looks angry. he is wearing a teal-gray sweater with stripes of gold and red, round glasses made of wire, and has a cross on a chain dangling from his wrist. nandor is half-smiling so that his vampire teeth are showing. he is wearing a red cloak with a floral pattern and gold fringe, and large gold rings on both hands. several wooden stakes are arranged above guillermo’s head, resembling a crown, and a banner of red crepe paper arcs over his head behind them. entangled in the ends of the banner are little cutout dolls of guillermo and nandor. around the bottom of the image are smokelike swirls and waves of purple and green paper that curl up the right side of the page, framing a crescent moon against a black night sky. the following images are two closeups of guillermo’s and nandor’s faces, and six photos showing the different paper shapes in the process of being cut out and assembled. /end i.d.] -- source link
