pettywitchbecca: How I expel bad energy from my body: I’m sure this is a concept that so many people have talked about on here, but this is something I do almost weekly so I’d like to have it written in a slightly-aesthetic way to show people in my life too. If it helps anyone on here, then great! For me “bad energy” can be many things. I often pick up energy from places, objects, or even people if I accidently focus too hard on them. Empath problems, I know. Beyond that, bad energy to me is my own negative and intrusive thoughts. It’s a disbelief in myself or when I’m trying to stand in my own way. Essentially anything that rests inside you that creates an uncomfortable, foreign, wrong, maybe even an anxious feeling. If you have anxiety, this is not a professional remedy. It helps me, but it’s not medication/therapy. If you need anxiety medication, that’s okay! Take your medicine, please! Step 1— Where is this energy at inside you? All of my anxiety and bad vibes tends to rest inside my chest. It swirls there, creating a tight, uncomfortable feeling. I know for some people it’s the stomach, for some it creates a kind of “brain fog.” It can be anywhere, or even all of these locations. Locate this bad energy. Step 2— Focus and visualize! If I am at a place where I am comfortable, it helps me to close my eyes. Totally optional, though. I focus on this energy, this tightness in my chest. In my mind’s eye I begin to visualize this energy as a physical thing—one of my best friends visualizes a ribbon twirling around, for me I visualize tendrils of smoke. Step 3— Intentional breathing to expel. Visualizing the smoke inside me, “seeing” it twirling around, I breathe in. It can be fast if you prefer. For me, I prefer to calmly, slowly breathe in. As I do, because it’s typically in my chest I visualize the tendrils being pulled up—literally up my throat into my mouth. Sometimes it’s like I can physically feel it, if I’m being honest. Then, making sure I’m firmly planted, I exhale. I exhale to expel this energy, visualizing it leaving my mouth and my body for good. Typically the tendrils just evaporate in my minds eye. Sometimes if it feels very overwhelming I will do this outside and immediately leave the area I was in to further “leave it behind.” Now, this is what works for me. If this helps you out, I would love that. But I always encourage everyone to find what works best for them! -- source link
