copperbadge: copperbadge:My proof copy of Infinite Jes arrived today! There’s still an issue with offset on the spine (I fixed it with Fete and I’m not sure why it’s BACK with the Jes cover, which was templated off the Fete cover) but they look good enough individually and together that I’m willing to put up with it. Tonight I’m gonna sit down and read through the book real cover to real cover and probably notice a bunch of shit that needs fixing. :D [ID: A photograph of two softcover books sitting on a wood-grain background; left is an orange-tan book titled “Fete for a King” with three emojis in a text window above the title – an annoyed face, a sandwich, and a heart face. On the right is a mottled blue book titled “Infinite Jes” with a microphone emoji above the title. Both read “By Sam Starbuck” along the bottom.] twelvestakesGreat cover. What is it about?Thank you! Fete For A King is about answering the question “What if Guy Fieri was the star of a romance novel where he falls in love with a handsome European prince of a micronation with an unpronounceable name?” Which was wild enough, but Infinite Jes is about the handsome European prince (now king)’s retired widowed dad having a late-life romance with a nonbinary podcast journalist. I also just finished the trequel, The Lady And The Tiger, which is about what happens when the handsome European king’s two best friends fall in love while accidentally staging a coup in a neighboring micronation. -- source link
