rustingbridges:sigmaleph:reematheroamer: fairy-isle: alwaysadolphin: who’s putting washing machines in their kitchen British people, apparently tag with where you live and where your washing machines reside #american#laundry room in the basement#keep the big noisy machine isolated in a separate room#along with the dryer#where are the dryers in these photos?probably it’s a washer-dryer? putting a washing machine in the middle of another room is the sort of thing you do when you don’t have a lot of space, and if so a washer-dryer makes a lot more sense than having an entire separate machine (in a different room, even) huh I did not know they made combination washer / dryers. I had assumed from the lack of dryer that they just had washers and were doing hang dryit seems like it would be convenient to be able do to both with one machine, how come nobody uses these? are they not as good as the separate machines? I have a combination washer/dryer, but it’s not great at the dryer part. It heats up the house and the clothes are often still damp when it’s done.I’ve also heard that they’re less reliable / more prone to breaking. -- source link
