La belle bête (The Beautiful Beast) | Karim Hussain | 2006Squeamish side note: Got slightly obsessed and distracted by Caroline Dhavernas’ teeth in La belle bête. Caroline is quite a crush so I find her v. attractive but in this she’s playing a “Plain Jane” (her mother calls her ugly, but that’s just rude) and to help achieve this transformation she’s been fitted with these prosthetic teeth. They’re not too extreme so in early scenes of the film I actually found myself thinking “are they false or is this just good acting”, then being unsure whether it was a full set or just the top, until finally concluding “you know what, I kind of like the teeth. She looks sorta… hot?”Hmm. I don’t like it when I succumb to these unbidden fixation-cum-fetishes, particularly about teeth, I mean you’ve read Poe’s Berenice right? -- source link
