FordUSA, 2012 Watched on 21st January 2014First viewing I had been intrigued by the trailers for Robot & Frank but missed the film when it played in cinemas, so I was glad to see it was added to netflix recently. I’m happy to say that it didn’t disappoint. It’s a charming, funny and poignant story of Frank, an elderly jewel thief whose son buys him a robot carer. When Frank discovers that obeying the law is not part of the robot’s program, he persuades the robot to incorporate planning and executing heists into his therapy regime. Having seen my grandparents succumb to Alzheimer’s, Frank’s worsening dementia is particularly poignant to me. -- source link
