Missoula and Yellowstone- While I didn’t stay long in Missoula, I did get to visit with Nora, and exchange student friend of mine that went to Denmark with me. Had a great time there, saw how people danced in Montana, and got to jump off a bridge into a river. Pictured was the act we saw at the Top Hat venue that night (1). Camped at the Carbella Recreation Site (2) the night before entering Yellowstone. Quiet and by the river–perfect. Yellowstone has some of the best examples of diverse landscapes and wildlife that I’ve ever seen. Take for example this buffalo (3) and bird (please identify this for me) just behind a old geyser shell I came upon. Or look at Yellowstone Lake, walking on a beach made of obsidian (4). Or the acidic hot springs full of bacteria (5) Or the elk (6). Or the bears (7). Or the canyons and waterfalls (8). Or the man-made timber lodge at Old Faithful (9). I have a photo of Old Faithful, but I suggest you just visit (10). I loved my visit there and despite the fact that it was so touristy at times, I really do recommend that you take the opportunity to visit. -- source link
