Your mother is the first person you see as you are born into her arms. Your face is the last she will see when the sun sets. A tribute to my mother, who has Alzheimer’s. An Imperial moth like the one we found and set free many years ago. A story she recalled until recently. Now it’s on my skin to always remember. It took me a long time to learn what moth this was. It was one of the biggest I’ve seen, but it looked nothing like anything else in VA. Turns out it was a rare sunset pink and yellow color mutation of the Imperial moth. About the placement: “As mothers and daughters, we are connected with one another. My mother is the bones of my spine, keeping me straight and true. She is my blood, making sure it runs rich and strong. She is the beating of my heart. I cannot now imagine a life without her.” K.Hannah @corinnetattoos thank you for the perfect tattoo #alzheimers #dementia #tattoo #naturetattoo #ink #mothtattoo #imperialmoth #Eaclesimperialis #saturniidae #moth #sunset #colortattoo #tattoos #girlswithink (at Human Canvas Tattoo Studio) -- source link
