WIP of the battle between Fingolfin and Morgoth. I’m working on a black & white base because the pic will be so damn dark…lol Fun fact: In the version of the Silmarillion I read (which is in French, and which is definitely a bad translation), the text just sounds like Fingolfin actually cuts off Morgoth’s foot. I was like “nooooot coooool”. To later discover on English websites that in the original version he just hews his foot. I was totally imagining Morgoth with a wooden leg!! Well anyway, the Valar do cut off his feet later lol. -- source link
