Day 18/30 of the Background Challenge!Day 18: Interior of a Space Station. At the time (’04-’05), Doom 3 was pretty mind-blowing with its use of dynamic shadows and intense lighting effects, although Half Life 2′s physics engine would cause the bigger splash. Both games look pretty dated now, but I still appreciate the art direction in Doom 3; I love all the stark black shadows and creepy ambient sound design. I guess today I was looking to replicate that a bit. -- source link
