Sailor Moon XI really enjoyed doing my 100 days of X-Men art challenge, but I hit a point where I really wanted to do something more complete. So I really took my time with this one. Keep reading to see my process:I started from this abandoned W.I.P. from a couple years ago.I liked the poses and the general idea, so I started from scratch and took my time getting all the anatomy right. Then I did this pencil sketch on my iPad in Procreate to get all the details in the right place:Then I inked it with a super fine technical pen in Clip Studio Paint. Figuring out the placement for all the other characters took the longest time, but I eventually got a composition I was happy with. Color took a long time too, but I didn’t save any mid-process pictures of that. I didn’t keep track of the hours spent on this piece, but I’ve been working on it off-and-on (alongside some commissions) for the past month. The thing I’m proudest of is Storm summoning lightning for Sailor Jupiter to catch. They’re so cool. (God I love these stupid fictional characters.) -- source link
