The 7 of Pentacles: a card all about effortful endeavors…which this project truly has been! Now that we’re fully funded on Kickstarter, there’s a lot more joy and relief too–hence the three super happy pups surrounding the 7 of Pentacles. The Barkana has been a beautiful journey. 5 years of near-daily painting, 78 full watercolor illustrations, and over 90 animals featured on the cards. I’ve heard so many beautiful dog stories, worked with amazing people in this community, and painted my heart out to bring this deck to life.
