self-loving-vampire: tzov:self-loving-vampire: The TERF to Tradwife pipeline in real time. All the notes repeatedly state that this is “proof” that all terfs/radfems are conservatives, but.. we don’t even know who said this?? You are presenting a single belief of a random anonymous twitter account. The number of likes/retweets also appears insignificant. Regardless, siding with republicans on one single issue, however foolishly, makes you a tradwife how exactly?I’m waiting for anyone to show a non-anonymous, demonstrably popular statement that proves a significant number of “terfs” side with republicans.. if it’s such a big issue, this shouldn’t be difficult. Until then. YaWn Abigail Shrier, who wrote the fearmongering “Irredeemable Damage” book TERFs share to each other constantly, is a presenter on the far-right propaganda machine that is PragerU.Kellie-Jay Keen, also known as Posie Parker (the one who came up with the “Adult Human Female” thing you all put on your bios) has said she wants trans men to be sterilized and is platformed by Tucker Carlson on Fox News.Fox News in general is pretty eager to showcase radfems talking against trans rights. Why do you think that is?It’s not because they are trying to introduce feminism to their audiences or because they are open-minded. It is because they are using radfems as tools to further justify their existing anti-trans beliefs, make their existing conservative audiences more secure and radical in being anti-trans, and radicalize people who were closer to the center. The “Women’s Liberation Front” partnered with Hands Across the Aisle… and the Family Policy Alliance (the lobbying arm of Focus on the Family), which supports traditional gender roles and opposes legal abortion, same-sex marriage, and more. It was founded by James Dobson, the same one who founded the Family Research Council.WoLF also work with the far-right Heritage Foundation, a conservative think tank that is considered one of the most influential conservative policy organizations in the US.Jennifer Bilek, who first started spreading the anti-semitic conspiracy theories that now show up in Helen Joyce’s book, has also said that David Icke is “on to something” and shared videos from Keith Woods, a literal neo-nazi.Bilek is big. Many of the major TERFs use or launder her arguments. Julie Bindel, LGB Alliance (its Canadian branch is pictured above sharing the video directly), TransgenderTrend, Sheila Jeffreys, and others have done this. And this is just the tip of the iceberg, not even including far-right figures who have praised or endorsed TERFs (such as Richard Spencer, Ben Shapiro, and Donald Trump Jr. approvingly spreading posts by J.K. Rowling).Speaking of Richard Spencer, an explicitly white nationalist publication he founded, RADIX, published an article back in 2020 titled “The TERFs to Dissident Right pipeline” in which they explain this whole process from the point of view of people trying to move people further along with it.It includes talking about how their existing biases and exclusionary positions could be very easily expanded along racial lines as well:I know TERFs love to pretend to be ignorant about this and blind themselves to literally any harm their actions might cause, but given how obvious it all is it only makes them come off as complete tools that irrationally act against their own interests out of hatred for a minority. It is also utterly cowardly and pathetic behavior. This is especially true because the exact same groups and individuals that work against abortion also work against trans rights with the explicit approval and support of TERFs. You can pretend you can’t see it, but the rest of us are just rolling our eyes at the bad faith denial, especially after Caelan Conrad’s video series infiltrating TERF groups under a fake name and documenting what they talk about when they think no one is watching. -- source link
