More photos! This is from our deck garden a few weeks ago. You can see the brassicas in the background that I tried to get to bloom so I could get their seeds (those fractal broccoli seeds are expensive!). Alas it didn’t work out, the cabbage moth guys and something else destroyed them despite neem and regular picking. Lesson learned: just buy more damn seeds. I spent WAY too much time picking.Also I love cosmos but they are very floppy. I will consider this next year when planting them.What you don’t see in this picture: the borage and chamomile in the bed, plus the luffa squash and moonflowers climbing on the geometric trellis V made. Just past the brassicas the entire exterior part of the wall and deck floor have been torn out, and tar paper has been haphazardly applied until a more permanent exterior layer of Some Hightech Thing V Found is applied. The area was previously a leaky fireplace (that inexplicably contained a hidden compartment underneath that contained highly explosive/flammable chemicals). -- source link
