equikage: Most mustang photography leans towards the romantic and I’ve seen people admit that they only post pictures of studs at their peak. You don’t usually see this side getting shared around fb. The reality is that these horses live rough lives and die rough deaths. I feel like people would be less over the top about preserving the natural beauty and Freedom TM of the wild horse if they were presented with images like these. I’m not anti Freedom TM by any means, but tbh the things I like most about mustangs are the results of brutal natural selection. It’s not fun out there. When I see people online getting up in arms about some famous mustang being rounded up, especially a stallion, I can’t understand that at all. Being rounded up and even just kept in a holding facility (with unlimited access to food, water, and with routine vet care) is a happy retirement compared to the alternative.Anyway I was happy to find these shots, I don’t think this stuff should be glossed over.Lynn Walleen Photography -- source link
