Today we had our first Study Buddy Sunday stream and played around with gradient maps in Clip Studio Paint to figure out how they worked and how they could be applied in my own art.So here are some of the results! A test sphereApplying gradient maps to flats/colored shading and adding another shading layer to itUsing gradient maps to adjust colors/values of an existing pieceUsing gradient maps to colorize a grayscale pieceOverall my takeaway is that they’re great for helping unify colors, adjust hues, and provide a spring board for color painting. But naturally they’re not something you can one-and-done. A singular unaltered gradient map is not going to colorize your piece for you.Subscribers to my Study Buddy tier on Kofi can get their hands on these files! -- source link
