So his is not only ‘fate catching up with you,’ here in a particularly horrifying and unexpected way’ but it’s also ‘the things that you did because you were desperate to be accepted by something that wouldn’t want you if it knew who you were will wound you permanently, and those wounds will be bleeding in some way until you die, no matter how healed you think you are, and you will deserve it, and the thing you are now dying for still wouldn’t want you if it knew who you were.’ -- source link
