Been meaning to post pictures of the view I had of the storms for like a month now lmao.I moved! I live just north of Boston now! And right when I moved, four Nor’easter storms happened in four consecutive weeks. I always said I love snow, and it’s like nature decided to test me. Well I guess I passed because I’m absolutely thrilled with the snow and the storms (other than losing power…) and I’m kinda sad that winter is over. The top two pics are a more typical day. It’s a salt marsh bordering a river outlet and the ocean, so it fills with the tide. And overflows with the tide during major storms (plus it was also an unusually high tide to begin with thanks to the Moon I guess). It seemed like cars got through even at the highest point, but they sure did get wet. I adore the ocean and tides and salt flats, so I’m still kind of amazed that I get to see it every day. (And the view of the road has turned out to be a plus because I can see what condition it’s in and what traffic’s like)I moved for a my first fulltime job after grad school as a software engineer. So, things are going pretty well for me right now. I mean there’ve been plenty of stressors with the adjustment, but Fletcher and I are here and settling in, and I’m trying to acquire another household necessity every month lmao (furniture, Real Plates, I need any bowls really bad right now…) -- source link
