tiny-librarian:After the death of their eldest son Arthur on April 2nd, 1502, Elizabeth of York was said to have comforted her husband by reminding him that he was his mother’s only child and he survived to become King. She also reminded him that they still had a son and two daughters, and that they were still young enough to have more children. Soon after that she did indeed become pregnant again, and spent her confinement period in the Tower of London.On February 2nd, 1503, she gave birth to a daughter who was named Katherine. The new Princess did not live for very long, dying just eight days later on February 10th. Elizabeth herself would die of a post-partum infection the day after her daughter, February 11th, her 37th birthday. -- source link
