HBO Creates a new show that takes place in an alternative time where slavery in America still exists This is an absolutely disgusting idea. Black people have been through enough and the least we need is a show that glamorizes the idea of slavery still existing. Police brutality is still rapid, racial tensions are rising, and we still haven’t even gotten the reparations we deserve….. a show like this is NOT NECESSARY. I can only imagine how slave owner apologetic this show is gonna be, not to mention the torture and sexual violence scenes. This show doesn’t seem like it’s going to provide a valid message and it doesn’t need be created in this time period, where everything is so divided. -- source link
