If this was how Americans viewed Britain, I wouldn’t bother to correct them. We have more security cameras per square mile than anywhere else in the world. The police have full permission to wiretap anyone without breaking any laws. Not only are our citizens not allowed to carry guns, it’s illegal to carry anything for use in self defence. In fact, an American self-defence instructor has been banned from entering the country simply because his seminars teach practical defence. The government is making plans to censor both the internet and the press. It wants to leave the European Union because it doesn’t like being constrained by international Human Rights laws.
