Hi y’all! So, I’ve had a blast running this blog for the last year and a half, but unfortunately my life is making a lot of (exciting!!) changes, meaning I can no longer dedicate the time necessary to keep this blog running at it’s previous quality. I decided, instead of just letting it die, to open up mod applications. If no one applies, or there are no applicants I feel will keep this a safe, positive space for all sapphic women, then the blog will be archived and that is that. However, maybe you (yes, you!) can keep this blog alive, and possibly turn it into something even better than before! Some ground rules before you apply, that extend beyond simply making graphics and adding them to the queue: Acknowledge this is first a foremost a positive space. You may get “discoursey” asks. You need to delete them. You will also get a plethora of homophobic, biphobic asks, including from straight people. You need to delete them. There are other blogs for that kind of content, this is not one of them. Exceptions are if you once and a while make a joke about a ridiculous ask, or if you think there’s an opportunity for a teaching moment (some examples here)Acknowledge this is a safe space for ALL sapphic women. This include trans and nonbinary sapphic women. Aromantic and asexual sapphic women. Sapphic women of color. All lbpq women. If you feel you cannot do this, please do not apply. Acknowledge that this is a space where all women who love women are the same. I am aware that there are differences between bi women, and lesbians and the like. There are blogs to discuss those differences but this is not one of them. Finding female characters that are into other ladies is so rare and difficult already, and this was created to be a blog that didn’t focus on these women’s individual identities, but on their love of women overall! Keep it as a friendly, useful, and unifying place! BE NICE. You will get asks that seem silly, that seem repetitive. But especially if that ask comes from another sapphic woman and it’s not malicious, respond respectfully and with kindness. Here is a link to the application, which includes creating a blog image using the provided template, as well as other things. Even if you don’t think you’re interested, spreading the word would be lovely! I don’t want to see this blog fall to the wayside. Thanks <3 -- source link
