mexicaa: Unfortunately, all of my clothes were destroyed in the Massacre of Tenochititlán by that White Devil and his demons. I can, however, describe and illustrate some of my favourite garments. We who you would call nobility and royalty wore skirts down to our ankles, and occasionally to our mid-calf. I prefer the formal long sleeved huipil, but sometimes, on hot days, it was nice to lounge around the gardens with a sleeveless one. Of course, I was also never without earrings, and wore my hair in the fashion of the time. I wasn’t one to wear make up like my child was, but then again, I am a bit old-fashioned. Now and days, I wear the clothes my daughter brings me…They’re beautiful, but they’re not the same.
