Not many cows are lucky enough to graze a stone’s throw from where their milk is made into cheese. Most milk is picked up in a tanker truck where it’s mixed with the milk from multiple farms. From there it’s trucked many miles to a plant where it’s homogenized, pasteurized, deconstructed, reconstituted, diluted, fortified, etc. The milk from Wayward Goose Farm cows is picked up and driven a quarter of a mile up the road where it’s made into fabulous aged raw milk cheese by top notch head cheesemaker Leslie Goff and her first rate crew. How lucky we are to be part of such a thing! #pasturedcheese #pasturedmilk #jerseycows (at Consider Bardwell Farm) -- source link
