A catgaroo, a species native to the Mount Banao (a ‘mysterious’ local calls the mountain 'Mount Salakot’), Brgy. Tambo, Buhi, Camarines Sur. This lovely creature leaps lower than a real kangaroo but is as sweet as a cat, rolling constantly on the grass. Of course I’m bluffing. This poor cat lost its forefeet after being trapped by a trap intended for other animals in the said forested mountain. It has learnt to stand and move using mostly only its two hind-legs. Its clipped off feet are amused to appear to be gloves and its stance that of a kangaroo. -- source link
