may 23, 2019ktrookies el dorado recordingthere wasn’t just one, but two songs jongdae had to learn for the project, surprisingly enough for him. just when he thought he got ‘what is love’ down, or at least close enough to be comfortable with it, kt decided to give him another big project recording with the others in ktrookies this time. with so many people, there was only so much they could give to one person to sing if everyone were to make an appearance in it, so jongdae didn’t think that recording for this track wasn’t going to be as bad as the previous.this song sounded more mysterious but inspiring than the ballad. the demo was impressive, maybe a bit edgy, mystical and had an air of fantasy to it. he kind of, or maybe a lot, enjoyed it. and then there was his parts. the staff trusted him with an important part within the bridge to bring up the dramatic atmosphere without putting too much flair to take away from it. high notes. they gave him more high notes. not that he didn’t like the high notes because that was basically his showboating point in high school and university noraebang sessions. he could be proud of them, right? he found it amusing that he knew the high note was coming up from hearing the rising action, and then reaching the pause and eventually the climax that came with his high note. he could do it. jongdae just had to prepare himself for it, get into the mood.at least this time he would be able to listen to the song with aron back in their apartment and hear the way they were going to sing it together. that would also help for recording and then eventually become a smoother process of meshing them together for post production. however, that was easier said than done, right? there were other voices that they had to take into consideration: what vocal range they had, maybe even be conscious about whether or not one voice would drown out the other. he might be thinking on more of a ‘live singing’ aspect, but he still thought they would make the most out of it during those practices they gathered around to sing it together. this was a little more stressful than he thought, but then again, it wouldn’t be him without thinking of those negatives. sometimes he disliked this side of himself no matter how logical and realistic it was. -- source link
