lpbestiary:Gef is the name of a famous mongoose from the Isle of Man who could supposedly talk. Gef was owned by the Irving family of Dalby in the early 1930s. They were apparently harrassed by persistent scratching and whining inside their house, and eventually met Gef, who claimed to have been born in New Delhi, India, in 1852.Gef gained national attention, with his story appearing in several newspapers and attracting several psychic investigators to the Irvings’ farmhouse, including Harry Price.
