bbcfandomsuniverse: abbyprincess2:abbyprincess2: unkindness313: Cormoran Strike’s lovely long coat appreciation postfor @abbyprincess2 Love these! Thank you so much @unkindness313 ! ❤️❤️ Reblogging this because they are awesome! I think BBC has this trend about brooding men in long coats with turned up collars! I have half a mind that they reuse set designs and costumes. BBC Sherlock; the main character also wore a signature long coat that looks surprisingly similar to this one! Anyone have photo comparisons? I don’t know how to do that here. Hello. The coats are not the same. Cormoran’s coat is a Classic Herringbone Overcoat from Crombie whereas Sherlock’s coat was famously the Belstaff Milford with the red buttonhole. The coats are a different cut, different pattern and different colour. Sherlock’s coat is double-breasted and has a martingale, Cormoran’s is deliberately simpler (I read an interview at the time but couldn’t find it right now), no waist hugging cuts or features. Both are long wool coats though, but that’s where the similarity ends.Hope this clears things up. -- source link
