WIP - painted a native PNW Salt Marsh Moth (Estigmene acrea). Males have internal structures called coremata, which they inflate for scenting behaviors when searching for a mate. They also have “sex-scales”, fuzzy patches all over their body. There’s a lot of understudied chemical ecology happening out there under the light of the moon.
