9️⃣2️⃣ ~ #justintroweekthings A slightly-needed easy week ft. some movement swaps bc coach said feel free to switch some things. Moved vertical push to the hammer strength shoulder press + hoodie behind my back to make me a little more in line with the press direction.Moved 2nd horizontal pull from that high-low row back to the unilateral hammer strength row which I haven’t used in probably at least a year - the high-low row is usually a vert but this one is somewhere in-between bc the handles are more in front of you than directly above so I tried to make it a horizontal by going unilateral & angling myself up towards it but it just doesn’t have that beefy back-thickness feel to the activation & flirts pretty close with being a lat move which is fine but wasn’t the intention. Also after watching the clip of the new movement I moved my grip to the lower handle.Due to a misunderstanding I went back to lat pulldown for vertical pull but then learned ‘lat pulldown’ includes moto row as an option & we weren’t necessarily getting rid of that, so I’ll be going back to moto next week, really wanna see what I can get out of it. ~Never thought I’d be This Person but I look forward to my weekends so much now - but not because my weekday life makes me miserable. More so because with a new job that’s quite open-ended every day & almost entirely at my discretion a weird new semester & internship hours in the lab for a study I feel immense pressure to master as my own since the second half of it quite literally WILL be - if I let compulsive-work-demon dominate it will eat itself alive.
