penig: sonkiarolas: Few people see my widespot story … but almost nobody is interested … I will rest the neighborhood. Why do I say that? Because every time they publish nobody see it, Peni is the only one who sees it good few if they see my images of Widespot I’ll take a break in that. Just because you don’t get notes doesn’t mean nobody saw it, or even liked it. We all do notes differently. And you should be playing and posting what you have fun playing and posting, not what you think will get you notes, anyway. And what makes you think I’m not worth posting for all by myself, anyway? :) So, I saw this and I’m happy to see that Peni’s words of encouragement were a help, but I still wanted to chime in from the perspective of someone in sort of the same boat as you. I’ve been playing and posting about Widespot (and my various spin-off prequels) since 2013, but I’ve still got pretty much zero “name recognition” in the community and I think the pattern of my notes suggests people would rather see literally anything from me other than actual story posts. But I work hard on them and I like them. And there’s no chance of anyone even accidentally clicking the link if there’s no link.On a related note: I’ve had to overhaul the intro scenes for my next story post, so I’ve been working on something special that I thought some folks might get a kick out of seeing even if they never read the story. I’m probably wrong about that, I’m always wrong about that – I have no idea what other people like. I only know what I like, so I write what I like. Then a few days ago, tumblr annoyed me so much that I’d pretty much decided not to post anything of my own here again. (And I do mean tumblr, not tumblr users.) What this means is that I’m essentially marooning myself on Dreamwidth, with only 2 semi-active friends over there who’ll probably never sign on at just the right time to see any of my updates. Peni will find them, I’m sure, but this thing I’m doing all this work for is the sort of detail she’s not likely to home in on. So…I could save myself a lot of time and trouble by just cutting it. (Though, that gets weird fast – yes, it would be weird writing and arranging posts just for you, @penig, lol.) No one would notice what’s not there and it will end up being a lot of work for nothing…except for the fun I’m having pulling it together and, hopefully soon, playing it out. If you’re having fun playing Widespot or any hood, that really is all that matters. No, it doesn’t feel great when it seems like no one else is enjoying this thing that you had a lot of fun with. It’s kind of like telling a joke and finding yourself the only one who’s laughing. But, hey, if the laugh was genuine, I say keep laughing. Keep playing. And Happy Simming. -- source link
