Now, the only manuscript of the Liber Catullianus that had survived antiquity was V (codex veroniensis), but it was probably already lost by Dante’s times. From V’s three copies came later O, G, and R., but these ones are dated to late 1300, therefore after Dante’s death (1321 from what I know, he could have at least known Catullus’ name from other authors, but this is not known. He surely could not have read any of his works. -- source link
