WHERE ARE THEY NOW? Joe Biden EditionWhile the Obamas started their life after the White House with a well deserved vacation, Joe Biden hit the ground running. Biden is not planning to stop the good work anytime soon, and he’s looking forward to A LOT of exciting projects: “The problem we have is not figuring out what he is going to do, but figuring out what he’s not going to do” said Biden’s former aide Senator Ted Kaufman. Here’s what Amtrak Joe, America’s weird uncle, is up to:He’s got a couple of new jobs: he’s leading the Penn Biden Center (which focuses on foreign policy and national security) at the University of Pennsylvania, and he’s become the founding chairman of the Biden Institute (which conducts research around civil rights, women’s rights, environmental sustainability, and more) at his alma mater, the University of Delaware. He’s creating a foundation: the Biden family is launching the Biden Foundation, a nonprofit focused on issues Joe feels passionate about: putting a stop to rape culture on campuses, supporting military families, ending violence against women and helping cancer research. He’s just signed with a talent agency: Joe and Jill Biden have both signed with Creative Artists Agency (CAA), a talent and sports agency based in Los Angeles. He’s told Trump “Grow up, Donald. Grow up.” on CNN.He’s playing with our poor little hearts: he mentioned running for president in 2020 before saying he was just joking. BUT A GAL’ CAN STILL HOPE.He’s planning to stay Barack’s BFF: Joe and his wife Jill intend to “find a small house in Washington near their friends Barack and Michelle Obama so that Dr. Biden can continue teaching English at a community college in Northern Virginia”.He’s chilling with his family: the Biden’s are splitting their time between Washington and Delaware, where they spend their weekends in their family home. There, Joe will keep up with his weekend ritual: taking his grandkids out for a burger and having a good old milkshake. “His all-time favorite is the black-and-white”, a vanilla milkshake mixed with chocolate syrup (according to Juan Avilez, a cook at Joe’s fave place, the Charcoal Pit). He’s not listening to anybody: His former aide Senator Ted Kaufman wants him to “slow down” and his son Hunter tells him to “make money”… but “he’s not really listening to either of us”, says Kaufman, “he’s going to stay in public service, and he’s going to do it big time and in a big way. Because that’s Joe.”Sources: Washington Post, New York Times, New York Post, Town & Country and Independent -- source link
