God forbid I wear a skirt outside — I’m just ASKING to be raped if I do that.The 58% statistic actually terrifies me more than any other. Suddenly change the word and you don’t care? No one will ever be able to convince me that words hold no power.I looked up the book and wasn’t able to find these statistics or where they come from (apart from being quoted on tumblr from the book Body Wars. It would be nice to see the book passages, but particularly the study that these statistics originate from). Anybody have any idea? I mean, these numbers look familiar but I’m not sure from where!I wouldn’t be surprised if they were true though… -- source link
