The legislation was expected to pass in a few days in a closed-door session of Congress. It had taken years to line it all up and get the dominoes into place. One small part was celebrity gossip websites, with deep subliminals buried in the recesses of their code. Just about everyone nowadays spends a few minutes every so often on one of those sites. A few were even painted with a thin veneer of feminism just to reach the maximum audience. The reason for this was so that people would trust celebrities to an extent. Maybe they wouldn’t let ‘em babysit their kids, but they’d trust their opinion about fashion. They had to get the celebrities processed ahead of time before the legislation passed. The Council had figured that if they had a bunch of newly-sluttified celebrities endorse it, they’d have a line of willing volunteers around the block. Katy was still struggling with the last few vestiges of modesty. The techs had found a work-around. Give her something to focus her mental energy, something she liked more than modesty, and she would stop.
