Without a phone, people will still avoid talking to strangers by hiding behind a book or newspaper. The idea that technology makes modern society anti-social is absurd coz we’ll still be ‘anti-social’ and not talk to random strangers regardless of technology or time period. The only thing that changes is the objects humans use for them to hide behind. Last time it was printed media, now it’s digital tech, tomorrow is gonna be something else.
