It baffles me to my core just how intelligent Armin is and just how photogenic his memory can be. He knew. He knew something was up with Annie an entire month before they went on their 57th expedition. Granted he didn’t act on it, and granted that he didn’t say anything, he still had some pretty valuable information under his belt. Besides, even if he were to have said something in the very beginning, chances are no one would have believed him. Being able to see the Female Titan in action was the much needed solidification to his hypothesis.I’ve been waiting three months (ever since I started reading the manga) to shine light on this one scene in particular.
