artandoddities: I was going to write something meaningful about masking up for the covid delta variant to protect people like me who are allergic to vaccines and have serious underlying health problems. In my condition, I could die from a common cold, so I obviously have an opinion about what’s going on right now. But the politics around this subject have become one of the most overwhelmingly disheartening and disturbing things I’ve seen in my lifetime. The deep ideological divisions driving is apart (when we should be working together) feel even more ominous than the virus itself. Trying not to lose faith in humanity.
