7-5-2018 Ughhhhh I’ve had a bad, uh, time lately. I feel like I say that a lot. No better time than now to take it out creatively! A lot of projects I have on deck won’t have much room for taking liberties in the design, so this was a great freeform exercise.I’m using the Volpin Props method here for my own shield. Birch wood cut into planks and carved, sandwiching insulation foam followed by liberal amounts of bondo. The fun part came with smacking the rim with various dremel bits to mimic hammered metal. I got to test out some Createx aluminum on the rim and used up my old stains from the young Link weapons. I made a stencil for the hold symbol and sponged over it, later going over with a brush. Why Falkreath? Honestly. No special reason other than I like the design the most.There’s no handle right now, so this project is not done yet.
