Throwback to when I took my first biochem course at a California University, and on the first day we were given an ungraded quiz “just for funzies.” The very last question was “who discovered the double helix structure of DNA?” There were three possible answers: Watson and Crick. Rosalind Franklin. And then Watson and Crick + Rosalind Franklin.I’m no idiot (especially when it comes to life sciences) so of course my ass filled in the bubble by Rosalind Franklin’s name alone.You can imagine my trembling rage when I got that quiz back the next class, and my sweaty white male profesor marked that answer as wrong. -- source link
