denerim:dragonageconfessions:CONFESSION: I really want a DA4 protagonist like Hawke. Hawke had more definition than the Warden or the Inquisitor, because there were some things about Hawke, no matter what you did or chose, that stayed the same. Everyone feels closer to Hawke because of this. I REALLY WANT Dragon Age 4 to adopt this model again, so we don’t get the failure of the half-assed origins like in DA:I again. Qunari, dwarves, Dalish–they didn’t really have solid reasons to be at the Conclave. Weak at best. Not having a choice of race or backstory gives the writers more freedom to make a deep, meaningful, emotional backstory for our protagonist. Lets the whole fandom understand the protagonist on a more even playing field, with less room for head canons. Don’t get me wrong–I love head canons. But Inquisitors and Wardens are SO different sometimes, it’s hard for fans to relate.Anyway, that’s how I feel. One race for protagonists, please.Hmm, bad confession for so many reasons, you thinking everyone agrees with you, for exampleActually this kinda pisses me off. lol For the same reasons I feel the least connection to Hawke……somehow reminds me the ending of mass effect 3, you have the illusion of choice (based on his personality), but really nothing is different. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ -- source link
