laurelthegreenwitch:I live in an apartment complex above a popular business, so I don’t really have a safe space to bury spells or other magical items. So I designed and created an ‘Earth Box’ to bury things.A lot went into this, and if you recreate your own box based on this, feel free to modify the work as you wish. The Box:The box is a cardboard box I covered with green paper as a base. The bottom of the box has a sigil I created (sacred soil for cast magick). The base of the box has “sacrum terrae” (sacred earth) and some succulent stickers I had. Before I added the soil, I added a good layer of rocks (like you would if you were planting a house plant). The rope accent on the sides was made by tying rope while reciting the witch’s ladder rhymeThe symbol on the upper flap of the box is a combination of a pentacle and earth symbol. The Lid:The base of the design is preserved sheet mossThe fencing is wooded dowels stacked just higher than the mossThe sigil is made from stones and the same rope as the witch’s ladder (I am connected to the earth). This sigil is not my design. The Soil:I boiled basil (prosperity and protection), calendula (prosperity), parsley (prosperity and purification), rosemary (protection), and sage (purification and protection) in a tea cup. I saved the tea for other work, and used the tea remains to begin a compost pile.I mixed this small compost pile, some coffee, some eggshells, and some potting soil. I filed the box with enough dirt to bury the small spell jars I use. The remaining soil is in a bucket for composting. Spring will be here soon enough! -- source link
